Target audiences

Within this business area, the VisitDenmark target audience is made up of adult couples travelling without children.

The majority of city visitors are between 35 – 55 years of age. They are primarily interested in experiencing the city’s history and culture, and are seeking to visit an “interesting city”. They demand a wide range of experiences, good accommodation choices, and the possibility of gastronomic experiences. On the other hand, weather is not an important factor to this target audience.

City tourists in Copenhagen and Aarhus travel primarily from Norway and Sweden, but Germany and the United Kingdom are also demonstrating growth in city tourist figures.
